Scott McElligott

In April 2003, Scott joined TD Wealth Private Client Services as Vice President and Region Head for Ontario North and East. Scott is located at the Private Client Services centre in Ottawa. Scott oversees an integrated financial services platform for clients in Ottawa, including TD Wealth Private Trust, Private Investment Counsel and Private Banking teams. He has also continued his advice practice in the use domestic and international trusts, along with extensive knowledge in banking and investment management disciplines.

Previously, Scott held various national senior management positions with another large financial institution for more than 10 years in the area of trust and investment planning for domestic and international clients.

His experience prior to financial services was with a large heavy equipment manufacturer assisting dealer franchises with sales, product support and financial management programs working all across Canada.

Scott graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1981 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in finance and accounting. Scott has also successfully completed the PFP diploma, as well as many industry courses such as the TEP designation of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

He is a former board director of the Bruyere Research Institute, the Ontario chapter of the Duke of Edinburgh awards program, as well as the Canadian Nurses Foundation.

In Ottawa, Scott volunteers in various fundraising drives with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and the Royal Ottawa Hospital.
