Award Recipient

Adeola Odununga

Tecla Linn & Nelia Laroza Memorial Award

I’m a third year nursing student at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

My current nursing experience has given me the opportunity to provide professional, cultural and safe patient care in a multicultural environment. It has also enabled me to value the importance of interprofessional collaboration and team work in meeting patient medical goals. My current academic pursuits have highly exposed me to modern and sophisticated medical equipment.

My goal is to pursue both my nurse practitioner and PhD program after BSC in nursing. This will enhance me to be one of the outstanding nursing lecturers that will leave a golden blue print to the nursing profession globally.

Having an award from the Canadian Nurses Foundation is inestimable asset for me towards achieving my degree in nursing. This award will reduce the financial burden that is required of me as an international student in Canada. More importantly, the first-hand knowledge and clinical exposure I will acquire from the nursing school will set a solid foundation for me in providing competent and evidence informed practice in my preferred domain of nursing.

Many thanks for granting me this award towards achieving my academic goal in the nursing profession.
