Angelica Drzazgowski

Judy Hill Memorial Scholarship

Choosing nursing as an endeavour came naturally to me, and I cannot be more pleased with my decision to enter this field. I am entering into my final year of nursing school at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and have greatly enjoyed the program for the knowledge and clinical experiences I have gained. I have worked in acute medical settings in Vancouver and have found working with clients with comorbidities and complex health issues to be challenging and immensely rewarding. I am particularly interested in working with patients who are experiencing psychiatric and addictions problems in addition to other health issues.

After graduation from my program, it is my intention to pursue specialization in high acuity nursing as well as graduate level studies in nursing. With this knowledge and skills, I will be better able to work with diverse populations within Canada. I am honoured to receive the Judy Hill Memorial Award and thank the foundation for this opportunity. This award allows me to focus on my academic studies and allows me to spend more time volunteering within my nursing community at school and the community at large. I look forward to an exciting future in nursing and once again thank the Canadian Nurses Foundation.
