Adeola Odunuga

RBC Diversity in Nursing Fund Award

My name is Adeola Odunuga, a fourth year nursing student at the University of Saskatchewan. I want to use this medium to unveil my sincere gratitude for being one of the recipients of the RBC Diversity in Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship will not only bring significant financial relief as a student but also will give me the opportunity to finish up my four years nursing program. A golden opportunity like this scholarship will also avail me lots of possibilities to contribute immensely towards the success and progress in the healthcare system both locally and internationally.

Receiving this scholarship gave me the window to be empowered academically and intellectually. Such a knowledge like this will not only safe my community but also would be beneficial towards the recovery process of all consumers of health.

Finally, words cannot express how joyous I am for been honoured with this scholarship because this scholarship has set a springboard towards achieving other goals of mine in the nursing profession.

We know that helping nurses and nursing students is a team effort. More qualified nurses, more nurse-led research, more nurses and nursing students supported with mentoring and proactive mental health programs and training – that’s the outcome of your support. This leads to a stronger, more robust healthcare system for Canada.

Your support today, on Giving Tuesday, empowers us to set ambitious goals, strengthen our resources, and show that our collective generosity fuels the next generation of nurses. Let’s make this year’s Giving Tuesday our most impactful yet, proving that our collective kindness can create lasting change.
