Asher Piedad

RBC Diversity in Nursing Fund Award

I am from Calgary, Alberta, and one of the scholarship recipients of the CNF RBC Diversity in Nursing Scholarship. I am happy that I was granted this scholarship. Truly you are a blessing to my life.

I came from the Philippines with RN license and migrated to Canada for good in the year 2012. Thankfully, on April 2014 the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) approved my papers to upgrade my nursing knowledge and skills at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. I had 10 courses under the program of Bridge-to-Canadian Nursing in that school. Right now, I’m currently working as Graduate Nurse at High Prairie Health Complex Hospital, High Prairie, Alberta. I have a pending licensure exam in October. Currently, I am working as a Graduate Nurse (GN) and studying at same time for Canadian NCLEX-RN exam. I just can’t wait to have an “RN” title in my name. It’s been my dream to become a Canadian RN since I was still in the Philippines.

Thank you CNF for the scholarship wherein you financially help me attained my goal to become a Canadian RN soon. I’m very thankful to the Lord that I was given this awesome privilege to be one of the recipients of the CNF RBC Diversity Scholarship. I do promise that I will do my best to be the great nurse wherever I am working in Canadian soil. No words can express how I’m thankful today. Again, thank you so much CNF! Indeed, you are a blessing to my life.
