CNF Diversity Award

From a young age, I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the society.  When I graduated from high school, I decided to pursue nursing.  At the age of nineteen, I graduated with Licensed Practical Nurse diploma.  After graduating from college, I started working as a LPN in nursing home.  My experience of working at a nursing home for over five years nurtured my faculties and made me a beautiful person, and it also gave me right guidance and strength.  Knowing that being a nurse can make a difference with only a slightest change is very satisfying and rewarding.  Therefore, I wanted to proceed in becoming a Registered Nurse.

I recently completed a bridging program of Post LPN-RN program from Athabasca University.  I am excited to become a RN, so I can continue to make contribution and differences in people lives. I love to help and care for others.  Therefore, I feel lucky to be in this profession as it gives me opportunity to help people in need and to alleviate their sufferings.  I feel so satisfied by being there for people in their worst scenarios and see them getting better.  I love to learn and grow by imparting my conscientious effort and dedication in the nursing profession.  I am honoured to receive the CNF award.   This award will facilitate me in achieving my goals and helping in lifelong career in the medical profession.
