Nurses Association of New Brunswick Award
My name is Bridget Stack and I am entering my final year of the Masters of Nursing Program in Health Policy at Dalhousie University. I currently live in Quispamsis, NB, with my husband, two children and our two dogs. In my free time I love to spend time reading, doing activities with my children, and relaxing. Choosing a career in nursing has been one of the best decisions I have made. Nursing has so many facets to it that make each day interesting, whether it be opportunities to learn, the rewards and challenges your clients bring, or the chance to work towards improving the quality of healthcare. I am employed as a case manager in Rheumatology at the Saint John Regional Hospital, where I enjoying helping arthritis clients achieve their health goals. Outside of my role as a case manager, I enjoy volunteering with the NB Arthritis Society Advocacy Committee. My previous education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Law & Society (2004), a Bachelors of Nursing (2007), and CNA certification (2009) in Rehabilitation. Following my MN degree, I hope to continue study in a PhD program in Sociology, focusing on health and health policy. I would like to thank CNF and NANB for awarding me with this scholarship and their investment in nurses. Being awarded a CNF Scholarship will be beneficial in assisting me with the completion of the final year of my studies and completing my practicum work on Academic-Service Partnerships.
