CNF Covid-19 Fund For Nurses

CNF Covid-19 Fund in Support of Nurses Across Canada

This pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to all of us. Nurses and health care providers across the country are at the front lines keeping our families, friends and communities safe. Their tireless efforts in this ever-changing battle against Covid-19 is crucial.

The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF)  COVID-19 Fund for Nurses will:

  • Support Nurses TODAY
  • Provide mental health support for nurses during this COVID-19 pandemic
  • Help provide nurses with the evidence, skills and training they need to better navigate COVID-19
  • Develop and share best practices for future pandemics
  • Explore and support new research in critical care and pandemic response

CNF & COVID-19

CNF doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19

We are committed to doing all that we can to support our nurses who are on the front-lines of serving our communities during these challenging times.

As leaders in health care, we understand the importance of social distancing, which is why our employees have been working from home while continuing to support our community. We stand with all front-line health care workers, who are needed now more than ever, in their communities during this time of crisis.

Nurses are currently ensuring Canadians receive the help they need – in hospitals, clinics, palliative care, long term care homes and in public health. They are working tirelessly taking care of vulnerable Canadians, children, and their families and loved ones affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Together with your support, CNF is investing in nursing education, research and training today so we can be better prepared to face today’s health care challenges as well as those we will face in the future.

Foresight is 2020

2020 is the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. We are also celebrating the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, who helped pioneer modern nursing and public health hygiene methods that we are all using at this very critical time to help contain Covid-19.

With this international spotlight on nursing, CNF is highlighting the essential role nurses are playing in shaping health outcomes across Canada, including Covid-19. For 2020 and beyond, we need nurses’ help—and yours.

If you want to #ThankANurse for their selfless work in fighting COVID-19, please consider adding their name to our Nightingale Wall to be unveiled this fall. Learn more here.

Giving Tuesday has become a global movement for giving and marks the beginning of the giving season for your favourite causes. Thank you for joining Canadian Nurses Foundation today as we celebrate our 10th annual campaign. Double your gift today!

We know that helping nurses and nursing students is a team effort. More qualified nurses, more nurse-led research, more nurses and nursing students supported with mentoring and proactive mental health programs and training – that’s the outcome of your support. This leads to a stronger, more robust healthcare system for Canada.

Your support today, on Giving Tuesday, empowers us to set ambitious goals, strengthen our resources, and show that our collective generosity fuels the next generation of nurses. Let’s make this year’s Giving Tuesday our most impactful yet, proving that our collective kindness can create lasting change.
