Extendicare Nurse Practitioner Scholarship

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people. Growing up as an only child, I had a nurturing nature, often caring for animals and reaching out to help other kids who had less. This desire to make a positive impact on others’ lives only grew stronger as I got older. By the time I was 19, I decided to pursue a career in nursing. 

Nursing seemed like the perfect path for me, as it combined my love for helping people with the opportunity to make a real difference in their lives. I wanted to be there for others during their times of need, to offer comfort and care when they were suffering. The idea of alleviating someone’s pain, even if just a little, was incredibly motivating for me. 

Throughout my journey, I found immense satisfaction in knowing that I could make a difference. The relationships I built with my patients and their families were incredibly rewarding, and each day brought new challenges and opportunities for growth. This profession allowed me to fulfill my childhood desire to help others, and it has been a privilege to support and care for so many people over the years.
