I became a nurse because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives – especially when they are at their most vulnerable. Nursing is one of the most rewarding jobs because you don’t just care for patients physically; you support them emotionally, advocate for their needs, and sometimes become their strongest voice. I have had the privilege of walking beside patients and families through both joyful recoveries and heartbreaking moments. Each experience has shaped me into the nurse I am today.
Some days are incredibly hard, but those are moments that test and grow your compassion, your resilience, and your empathy. What keeps me going is the chance to be part of someone’s story in a meaningful way.
One of the things I love most about nursing is the teamwork as I am constantly inspired by my colleagues. Teamwork truly makes the dreamwork as I have learnt so much from working alongside compassionate, skilled nurses, physicians, therapists and support staff. Every shift is a chance to grow, reflect, and improve through collaboration and shared experiences.
I am also passionate about the future of nursing. I am pursuing my Master of Nursing degree with the goal of becoming a nurse educator. I believe that by teaching and mentoring the next generation of nurses, I can make an even broader impact on patient care. Through this, I want to continue being someone who uplifts, advocates, and inspires. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
