Tylenol Canada Bursary Program Award
Ever since I was young, I’ve been drawn to caring for others—whether it was bandaging my dolls or helping friends through tough times. But it wasn’t until I volunteered in a hospital during high school that I truly understood the power of nursing. I saw firsthand how nurses were not just skilled professionals but also fierce advocates, educators, and sources of comfort in life’s hardest moments. That’s when I knew: I wanted to be one of them.
I became a nurse to make a difference—one person, one family at a time. I now work as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where I care for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients. It’s a role that is humbling, challenging, and full of heart. Every day, I’m inspired by the resilience of newborns and the strength of their families.
I’m currently completing my Master of Nursing in Leadership, with the goal of contributing to broader changes in healthcare—making systems more compassionate, equitable, and inclusive. I believe nursing is a calling rooted in both action and advocacy, and I’m committed to lifting others up as I grow in my own journey. Winning this scholarship affirms that commitment, and I’m so grateful for the support.
