Jacquie’s stock in trade is perspective. With more than 20 years of experience, she has looked at the public policy landscape from every possible viewpoint. She has been a public policy expert in health, agriculture, innovation and trade, a government spokesperson in the public service and in politics, a private sector communications director, a lobbyist, a consultant and a volunteer.
For eight years, Jacquie worked in strategic policy then communications in the federal public service, then worked as director of communications at various organizations. Jacquie then worked as director of communications to the Minister of International Trade, Honourable Jim Peterson, from 2004 – 2006, then spent the next four years as the head of federal government affairs at GlaxoSmithKline. Her expertise, influence and networking skills were instrumental in growing a fledgling Ottawa public affairs agency into a major player where she was managing principal for five and a half years before launching Compass Rose in 2015. Jacquie has been a fixture on The Hill Times’ roster of Top 100 Lobbyists since the list’s inception in 2007.
