Award Recipient

Jenna Gill

CNSA BIPOC Award

My name is Jenna Gill, and I’m honored to be a recipient of a CNF scholarship as I work toward my goal of becoming a nurse. Nursing has always felt like a natural path for me—not only because I’ve always wanted to help others, but also because I’ve grown up watching my mom dedicate her life to caring for people. Her strength, compassion, and commitment to her patients have inspired me more than words can express.

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to opportunities where I could make a difference. Whether it was volunteering at local food banks or simply being there for friends in need, I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to give back. Nursing allows me to turn that passion into a lifelong career—one where I can support people during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Receiving this scholarship from CNF means the world to me. It’s not just financial support—it’s a reminder that others believe in my potential and my purpose. It gives me the freedom to focus on my studies and clinical training, and it motivates me to work even harder to become the kind of nurse who brings comfort, hope, and healing to others.

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited for the journey ahead. I hope to one day inspire others the way my mom has inspired me.

Thank you,

Jenna Gill

Giving Tuesday has become a global movement for giving and marks the beginning of the giving season for your favourite causes. Thank you for joining Canadian Nurses Foundation today as we celebrate our 10th annual campaign. Double your gift today!

We know that helping nurses and nursing students is a team effort. More qualified nurses, more nurse-led research, more nurses and nursing students supported with mentoring and proactive mental health programs and training – that’s the outcome of your support. This leads to a stronger, more robust healthcare system for Canada.

Your support today, on Giving Tuesday, empowers us to set ambitious goals, strengthen our resources, and show that our collective generosity fuels the next generation of nurses. Let’s make this year’s Giving Tuesday our most impactful yet, proving that our collective kindness can create lasting change.
