My name is Kulvir, and I am a third-year nursing student at Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops. Nursing has always been my passion. My mother nurtured me to care for others. I have always wanted to make a difference in someone’s life, make them smile in their hard time, and be their strength with a positive attitude. The nursing profession has made it possible to accomplish these goals. I respect the time spent with clients in various settings and actively listen to their health needs. I enjoy the time while volunteering at different health facilities and learning new things. My goal in nursing is to provide compassionate care and build trust considering the cultural lens.
I like to hike, go for walks in nature, and explore new places. I am passionate about my school and enjoy reading. I came to Canada as an international student and was determined to be a nurse after my permanent residency. It makes me feel fulfilled knowing that I have achieved my dream to be a nurse.
