Kulvir Moudgil

TYLENOL® Fund to Advance Diversity in Nursing and Health Equity Research

My name is Kulvir Moudgil. I started my nursing journey in September 2020 at Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops. I immigrated to Canada in 2014 as an international student. I always wanted to be in nursing profession. I became a nurse because nursing is fulfilling and full of opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life. I want to care and be there for people in their vulnerable times. Nursing is a noble career to offer empathy and compassion. My mother nurtured me with a caring nature. I am thankful to her for providing me with comfort and love that enabled me to be empathic. I feel fulfilled knowing that my calm nature in emergent situations helps me to support others. I feel pride in working with families and patients through difficult times and making a difference. I enjoy learning during every interaction with people while nursing. I believe that there are many options in nursing to grow and is a rewarding career.

I have hobbies that I like to do during my leisure time. I like to hike, read, travel, and spend quality time with my family. I am blessed to have a beautiful family, career, and life.

I am honored to be receiving Tylenol Fund to Advance Diversity in Nursing and Health Equity Research Scholarship through the Canadian Nurses Foundation. I am thankful to the Canadian Nurses Foundation for supporting my nursing journey through this scholarship.
