CeraVe Skincare Scholarships for Diversity and Equity

My name is Lacey Kirkness and I am an Indigenous woman from Northern Manitoba. I come from a family of nurses, as my mother and sister are also RN’s. I started my nursing journey in my late 20’s as I wanted to gain some life experience first and travel. When the pandemic started, I knew it was time for me to begin my schooling and become a nurse to help. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse so that I could help my community and ensure that Indigenous peoples voices were heard in healthcare. Indigenous representation in healthcare is important and I am glad that I can help by becoming a nurse.
