WeRPN Award for Student Excellence
I am honoured to be the recepient of the WeRPN Award for Student Excellence. I first began my post-secondary career at Western University, where I later graduated with a Bachelor’s of Health Sciences. It was here where my passion to be in health care started. During this time, I volunteered with London Health Sciences Centre, St. Joseph’s Health Care, and Western’s School of Nursing STARS program. This fall I will be entering my final year at St. Clair College for Practical Nursing and I am incredibly happy with the path that I have chosen. Upon completing my first year, I received the Hazel McDonald Scholarship. The pandemic solidified my decision to become a nurse as I saw the immense need for more people in the field. I have a great desire to care for the community and promote health and wellbeing. Lastly, I choose nursing because my mother has been a nurse for 30 years and she has inspired me by her hard work and dedication. I am proud to be a CNF scholar, and I am incredibly grateful to the donors for supporting me and my future studies.
