CNSA Clinical Care Award

I love healthcare and I love people, and the perfect combination of the two that I love even more is nursing! Growing up, I always admired healthcare professionals, and my interest in this field continued to develop. My ability to respond calmly to urgent situations was notable to my friends and family, which spurred me on to pursue a career where I could maximize this gift. I spent time volunteering at a large medical center where I learned about many different areas of the hospital and healthcare. This added experience solidified my decision to become a nurse, and I have not looked back. I am passionate about being there for people in the most difficult, vulnerable times of their lives. Being someone who cares and provides empathy makes a day in the clinical setting worthwhile, and I feel so privileged to be here. I also love ethical leadership, and I hope to work towards providing this in my future workplaces as I gain experience and insight into the challenging environments nurses work in today. I believe that the world needs more nurses who go to work every day because they care and want to make a difference, and I strive to inspire more people to do so.
