CeraVe Skincare Scholarships for Diversity and Equity
My name is Princy, Sehgal and I am in my fourth year of nursing school. Before pursuing nursing, I completed a master’s degree in biotechnology. My journey into the nursing field was driven by a passion for both science and compassionate care.
With a strong background in biotechnology, I have always been fascinated by the intricate workings of the human body and the potential of scientific advancements to improve health outcomes. However, I realized that I wanted to be directly involved in patient care and be on the front lines, making a tangible difference in people’s lives daily. This realization led me to nursing, a profession that perfectly blends my scientific knowledge with my desire to help others.
This award from the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) is an incredible honour. It recognizes my hard work and dedication and provides crucial financial support that will allow me to focus entirely on my studies and clinical practice. As a CNF scholar, I am committed to using my education and skills to advance healthcare, particularly in underrepresented communities with a significant need for dedicated healthcare professionals.
This award will help me continue my education without the added stress of financial burdens, enabling me to concentrate on my goal of becoming a skilled and compassionate nurse. I am deeply grateful for this support and excited to contribute to the nursing profession, advocating for health equity and providing high-quality care to all patients.
Thank you for this opportunity and for believing in my potential to make a difference.
