CIBC Nursing Bursary

My journey into healthcare began long before I ever put on my first pair of nursing school scrubs. For eight years, I worked in various healthcare roles, and it was there, amidst the hustle and bustle of patient care, that I found my true calling. I saw firsthand the profound impact that a compassionate and skilled nurse can have on a person’s life during their most vulnerable moments. It wasn’t just about the medical treatments; it was about the words of encouragement, the reassuring hand on a shoulder, and the dedication to seeing the person, not just the patient. 

Those experiences ignited a passion in me. I realized I wanted to be the one at the forefront of that care, combining clinical expertise with genuine empathy to make a real difference. That’s why I decided to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For me, nursing is more than a profession; it’s a promise to provide comfort, to advocate for my patients, and to dedicate myself to their well-being. I am incredibly honored to be a CIBC Nursing Bursary recipient, and I am so grateful for this support, which will help me turn my long-held passion into a lifelong career of service.
