Why did I choose nursing? Concerned about the well-being of those around me and wanting to have a direct impact on people’s lives, I chose to become a nurse 15 years ago. Being a nurse allows me to grow daily, both professionally and personally. Working with people with diverse health needs in various settings allows me to provide care with kindness, dedication, empathy, and caring—qualities that, in my opinion, represent the very essence of the profession. Nursing is a profession of the heart, rich in emotion and so rewarding in terms of human relationships. Contributing to the health and well-being of patients, while offering support and comfort, is extremely fulfilling.

Being a nurse has always allowed me to push my limits and achieve my career goals, given the many paths available. Since the beginning of my career, I have had the opportunity to be involved in the advancement of my profession. As the nursing profession is constantly evolving, continuing education and opportunities to continually improve my knowledge have always been professionally fulfilling for me.
