Margaret Munro Award

I am honoured to be receiving the Margaret Munro award, and grateful for what it will help me to achieve. I am currently in my final year of studies in the accelerated nursing program at the University of Prince Edward Island. Over the course of my education I have had the opportunity to experience a number of areas of nursing, and I am quite interested in emergency care, as well as community health. In addition, I had the opportunity to experience a clinical rotation in Haiti, and I hope to include international work in my nursing future.

Receiving this award allows me to pursue areas of interest, and to realize the positive support that exists within the nursing field. Receiving the Margaret Munro Award is very encouraging, and I believe support such as this goes beyond the obvious in helping someone to achieve success academically and professionally. The ripples set in motion will continue throughout a lifetime. I’m excited to join the nursing community and to give back not only to my local community, but the global community as well. I truly appreciate this award, thank you to the donors and CNF!
