Sharon Nield Memorial Award
My name is Kristin Ringstad. I am sincerely grateful to the Canadian Nursing Foundation for awarding me the Sharon Nield Memorial Scholarship. This award will enable me to complete my final year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Thompson Rivers University. During this final year, I will gain valuable knowledge and skills in the area of Clinical Leadership as well as practical experience that will enable me to provide the highest level of care to my future clients, consolidate my ability to work collaboratively with the health care team, and seek out leadership opportunities within the field of nursing. It is my goal upon graduation to complete my critical care courses and pursue a career in the fields of emergency and intensive care nursing so that I may positively contribute to the lives of individuals, families, and my community during potentially difficult times.
