Award Recipient

Stephanie Woodard

RBC Diversity in Nursing Fund Award

Endowed with a scholarship from the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF), I am now one step closer to achieving the first goal in my career as a Registered Nurse. With such opportunities, financial stressors subside with part of my tuition paid on the first day of class. The scholarship enables me to focus on my studies while prioritising my time between being a wife, a mother and a student without dwelling on the financial aspect of life.

Without the financial support of the community and businesses who contribute to the success of this scholarship program, students, such as myself, may not be able to attain their goals in life. Rewarding an individual with acknowledgement of their hard work and accomplishments gives rise to upstream thinking taught to students every day. This allows the individual the opportunity to pay it forward for future academic successors.

As a Registered Nurse, my opportunities are endless as they unfold before me, allowing my success both personally and professionally. It is an honour to be a CNF Scholarship recipient, and words cannot express my feelings of gratitude knowing my dream will soon become a reality. Thank-you!

We know that helping nurses and nursing students is a team effort. This leads to a stronger, more robust healthcare system for Canada.

Your support today, on Giving Tuesday, empowers us to set ambitious goals, strengthen our resources, and show that our collective generosity fuels the next generation of nurses. Let’s make this year’s Giving Tuesday our most impactful yet, proving that our collective kindness can create lasting change.
