TD Aboriginal Nursing Fund Award – Baccalaureate
Once again, it is an honor to be the recipient of the CNF TD Aboriginal Nursing Fund Award for the second consecutive year. It is truly humbling to be recognized for all the hard work I have done. I have an absolute passion for nursing, especially community health. Winning this award relieves some of the financial burden of attending post-secondary education while raising a family consisting of two children under the age of nine years old.
I aspire to continue my education by entering into the nurse practitioner program after I have acquired sufficient experience to allow me to do so. Education is of the utmost importance in my household. This award has provided me with the confidence to continue to provide safe, ethical, compassionate nursing care for my clients in the clinical setting. As well, I will be able to give back to this institution after graduation so that I may contribute to the education to future First Nations nursing students.
Thank you!
