Extendicare Award
Sheena Simpkins is currently employed as a Nursing Instructor at the University of Lethbridge, and as a Registered Nurse at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the University of Lethbridge in 2010, she has worked primarily in the areas of geriatric rehabilitation and clinical nursing education. Sheena is also currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Lethbridge. As a component of this degree, she is planning a thesis study that will explore nursing students’ and clinical instructors’ attitudes towards caring for older adults. Sheena would like to express her sincere appreciation to the Canadian Nurses Foundation and Extendicare Canada for their generous award.
