I began my career as a staff nurse in a tertiary hospital in the Philippines from 2004 to 2007, and later as a nursing instructor in one of the colleges in the Philippines in 2007. I worked for over 4 years with the academy before immigrating to Canada.
I began my nursing career here Canada in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2011 as a Continuing Care Aide. While working part-time I began to pursue my passion to be a nurse in Canada. In 2012 I challenge and passed the Canadian Practical Nurses Examination and started working as a License Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Saskatoon Health Region – Long term care facility. This achievement did not stop me to pursue for excellence and later have my credentials assessed by the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA), did the SEC assessment and later enrolled in the bringing program (Orientation to Nursing in Canada for Internationally Educated Nurses) at Saskatchewan institute of applied science and technology (SIAST) in Regina, SK in 2012 and finished the program in 2014, took and passed the Canadian Registered Nurses Examination and now presently working under the Saskatoon Health Region as a Registered Nurse.
