RBC Diversity in Nursing Award

I am Jacob T. Geronimo, and I arrived here in Canada in June 2011.  I have a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree and obtained my RN status in the Philippines.  I realized that my credentials are only eligible for LPN exam here in Canada.  It never made me give up, I saved money by working as a food server in Dairy Queen for three months and also worked as a Continuing Care Assistant for three months just to pay for my requirements for LPN and to also sustain myself.  Such obstacles never stopped me from pursuing my dream to be a registered nurse in Canada.  Granted this great opportunity of an RBC Diversity in Nursing award, I guarantee that my knowledge and skills will make a difference not only in each of my client’s lives but also to the pride of the profession itself.
