Nightingale Award

I am actively involved in AIDS Vancouver Island as a volunteer, with yes2scs (safe consumption services) Victoria, and the Center for Addictions Research of BC. All three organizations enable me to engage in my passion for creating equity in health services for the marginalized people of our communities. I have a culturally sensitive approach to practice in which I embrace a non-judgmental attitude based from a harm reduction philosophy to health care.

This award will enable me to continue to volunteer and build my practice as I pursue my studies with the goal of becoming a street outreach nurse. Thank you to all the donors; your generosity is very much appreciated!
