A clinical background in nursing, B.Sc. in transplant immunology and MHA in Health Administration, resulted in a career culminating in senior management at the world-renowned University of Ottawa Heart institute. As President of the Foundation, Ms. Menzies’ responsibilities included fund raising and corporate communications. Her experience in Canada, England and WHO in clinical care, research and education led to consulting roles in planning and costing methodologies to cardiac care centres. Her knowledge has been shared by teaching courses in Not for Profit Management, as well as academic presentations and scientific papers/chapters.
Ms. Menzies’ community involvement on a volunteer basis has included mentoring, work with local, regional, provincial and national organizations, fund-raising, seniors, and palliative care. Now retired, she continues to be an active volunteer in her local community.
